MATERIALS & SPECIFICATIONS

All of our custom metal business cards are made from anodized aluminum.

Aluminum is lightweight, non-magnetic, corrosion-resistant, and durable enough for everyday handling while still fitting comfortably inside a wallet or card holder.

Laser engraving removes the anodized surface in the engraved areas to reveal the reflective aluminum underneath, creating permanent artwork that does not peel like printed ink or a surface-applied graphic.

Anodized aluminum cards are considerably more durable than traditional paper business cards.

They are resistant to normal moisture, bending, tearing, and everyday handling, and the engraved design will not peel away like printed ink.

Their durability makes them well suited for wallets, card holders, offices, displays, and other long-term use.

Our standard metal cards measure approximately 3.4 × 2.13 inches and .43mm thick.

That is close to the footprint of a standard credit or bank card, making them easy to carry in most wallets, card holders, and lanyard holders.

We currently offer Black, Blue, Green, Purple, Red, White, Silver, Gold, and Rose Gold anodized aluminum cards.

Engraved areas typically reveal the reflective aluminum underneath the anodized coating. Darker colors such as black, blue, red, green, and purple often produce especially strong visual contrast.

You can view finished examples in our metal card gallery.

The design is laser engraved into the anodized surface rather than printed on top of the card.

Because there is no printed layer, sticker, or surface ink, the engraved design will not peel away like a printed graphic.

Normal surface wear can occur over time with any physical object, but the engraved design itself is permanent to the anodized surface.

CUSTOMIZATION & ARTWORK

Yes. Every custom card is produced from your artwork, information, or design.

We can engrave logos, text, contact information, illustrations, QR codes, social media handles, websites, photographs, branding, and other custom artwork.

You can create your custom metal card here and upload your artwork during the ordering process.

Yes. Single-sided and double-sided engraving options are available.

Double-sided cards are useful when you want to separate branding from contact information, add a QR code to the back, include additional services, or simply give the design more room.

Yes. QR codes can be permanently laser engraved directly into the metal card.

They can link to websites, contact cards, menus, portfolios, social profiles, payment pages, booking pages, reviews, or almost any other web destination.

For the best result, QR codes should have strong contrast and enough physical size to remain easy to scan.

Yes. Photographs can often be converted and prepared specifically for laser engraving on anodized aluminum.

Photo engraving works differently from full-color printing. Images are converted into a monochrome engraved design, so lighting, contrast, resolution, and subject detail can affect the final result.

If you are unsure whether your photo will work, review our Artwork Guidelines or send it to us for review.

We accept most common artwork formats including SVG, PNG, JPG, PDF, PSD, and AI.

Clean vector artwork usually produces the sharpest results for logos and text, but vector artwork is not required for every project.

See our Artwork Guidelines for detailed recommendations.

Yes. Not every customer starts with production-ready artwork.

We regularly prepare logos, text layouts, QR codes, photographs, and lower-resolution artwork so they can translate more effectively to laser engraving.

If you are unsure about your file, contact us and send what you have.

Yes. Digital previews or engraving proof photos are available upon request before production.

If you would like to approve a proof before engraving begins, request one when placing your order or contact us immediately after ordering.

If we notice an artwork, sizing, or layout issue that could affect the finished engraving, we will contact you before completing production.

ORDERING, PRODUCTION & SHIPPING

Most orders ship within 1–2 business days.

Larger quantities, complex artwork, custom proofs, or unusual production requirements may take additional time.

Yes. We ship custom metal products worldwide.

International delivery commonly takes approximately 7–14 business days after production, although customs processing and local delivery conditions can extend transit time.

Available shipping options and delivery estimates can be viewed during checkout.

No. There is no minimum order quantity.

You can order a single custom metal card, a small set, or a much larger quantity depending on your project.

If you need to replace a file, correct information, or update your engraving instructions, contact us as soon as possible after ordering.

Include your order number along with the updated artwork or instructions.

Because many orders move into production quickly, changes cannot always be made once engraving has begun.

Visit our Contact page for order support.

Yes. We typically retain previous order artwork, which makes many repeat orders easy to reproduce.

If you would like to reorder a previous design, send us your earlier order number or identifying details and we will confirm the artwork we have available.

Yes. Volume pricing is available for larger custom card orders.

In many cases, yes.

Business, team, event, and organization orders may require multiple names, contact details, layouts, or artwork versions.

Because multi-design orders can vary considerably, contact us with your quantity and project details so we can determine the best production approach.

QR CODES & NFC

Our standard cards are not NFC-enabled. We specialize in permanently engraved QR code cards instead.

QR codes require no embedded electronics or battery and can be opened using the camera on most modern smartphones.

Yes. Properly sized and prepared QR codes can be laser engraved with strong contrast for reliable scanning.

We recommend keeping the code large enough, preserving a clear quiet area around it, and avoiding unnecessary visual complexity.

If you have an existing QR design and are unsure whether it will engrave well, send it to us for review.

WHO METAL BUSINESS CARDS ARE FOR

Metal business cards are useful for professionals and businesses that want a more distinctive physical card than traditional paper.

They are popular with real estate professionals, automotive businesses, sales teams, tattoo artists, musicians, creators, contractors, restaurants, hospitality businesses, entrepreneurs, and brands across many other industries.

Metal business cards offer a very different handoff experience from standard paper cards.

Their material, finish, durability, and permanent engraving make the card feel more substantial and give recipients a reason to treat it as an object rather than disposable paper.

For businesses where presentation, branding, networking, or first impressions matter, that can make the additional cost worthwhile.
